The Hasenheide park also has a small petting zoo, where children can interact with farm animals and learn about their care. And they're all free of charge.

Tropical Islands is a unique family-friendly destination near Berlin, housed in a massive hangar originally built to house airships. The structure is so large that it can fit the entire Statue of Liberty inside. The park features a tropical indoor rainforest, numerous pools and water slides, and even has its own beach. It's a great place to spend a day with the family and enjoy a taste of the tropics in Germany. There's hotels and lodges, too!

Indoor Legoland in Berlin is a must-visit destination for families with children. The park features miniature cities and famous landmarks made entirely of Lego bricks, as well as a variety of rides and activities. It's perfect for a day of family fun, especially on rainy or cold days. It's quite popular so in order to avoid crowds, only families with children are allowed to visit. No grown ups without kids!

Ritter Sport Bunte Schokowelt is a must-visit for chocolate lovers of all ages. Here, you can tour the factory and even create your own chocolate bar. Just a few blocks away is Rausch Schokoladenhaus, where you can indulge in some of the finest chocolates and pralines - and look at huge chocolate sculptures depicting some of Berlins main landmarks.

The museum features an enormous dinosaur skeleton, including the world's largest mounted dinosaur skeleton, as well as exhibits on birds, insects, and mammals. The Berlin Museum of Technology, or Technikmuseum Berlin, is a great place to visit with kids. Located in Kreuzberg, it features interactive exhibits on transportation, communication, and more. Kids can learn about steam engines, planes, trains, and even take a ride in a flight simulator. The museum also has a large collection of cars, including vintage models and prototypes. With plenty of hands-on activities and fascinating displays, the Technikmuseum is a fun and educational experience for the whole family. Don't miss out on the train hall!

Berlin is a haven for families with its plethora of awesome playgrounds scattered across the city. From charming neighborhood parks to vast green spaces, children can climb, swing, and slide to their hearts' content. The best part? My personal favourite is the playground in Krausnickpark, a huge hidden park just off of Oranienburger Straße.
